With the advancement of technology in our 21st century the world has really changed and changed quickly. Even though there may be a lot of different things that are suppose to make our daily lives easier, in the long run all the advancement seems to have made our lives even more hectic. Society today seems to be drifting away from it's spirituality and that is sad. We need to recapture that spirituality and incorporate it into our hectic and stress filled lives.
If you are serious about getting in touch with your spiritual side then you will need to set aside a certain amount of time each day that you will spend on spiritual practices. After you have figured out how much time you want to take, then you can focus on the section of your when you feel the most energized. You can start with as short of time as 5 minutes a day and then increase the amount of time when you feel like it.
You will also need to find a location that you can call your own. This should be a quiet place where you can go to on a daily basis. You don't have to limit yourself to someplace in your home. Even using your lunch and breaks at work can be the times that you can find that peaceful spot. Go somewhere like a park where you can find a quiet spot to yourself, wherever it might be that you can get some peace.
Try to raise your level of awareness about your own self, about others as well as your surroundings. You need to observe, this is a key component when it comes to your own personal spirituality. Include items that will stimulate your senses if you can. This could be candles, nature sounds, music or incense.
